I am not alway proud of our country, nor am I always hopeful. But this week I am.
I took for granted that Bruce and I went to town hall, got a marriage license and tied the knot last year and filed our taxes together this year. Everyone should have that right. I also believe in the separation of Church and State. I do not think that our country will ever force your pastor, rabbi, priest, imam, bishop, witch doctor, instrument of God (or whatever else you'd like to call them) to do something against their/your theology. That is what makes this country great. So this week I am proud and I am hopeful.
